Built my first AK-74 with the almighty Nicoroshi

I couldn't be more stoked with how it came out. It will get dressed up a little further down the road, but for now, here it is:



Bulgarian AK-74 parts kit
US made chrome lined barrel (cut to 14.5", threaded, Battlecomp 1.5 installed and pinned/welded for 16" barrel length)
Combo front sight base/gas block

It shot like a dream, 120 perfect rounds at the first test fire session and I am already trying to get more kits!

It didn't get painted until we had taken it to the range, sighted it in, and ran 120 flawless rounds through it. No ejector peening, perfect function. (I should add that to the original post)

Nope. Just pulled out of the box and slapped on. The handguards look good but the stock needs a refinish, badly!

How did you refinish the furniture?

Didn't refinish. That's just how I pulled it out of the box. The buttstock is really dull and needs refinishing for sure.
