AR15 Handguard Replacment Recommendations

My quest is for a better looking (8.25") hanguard to replace the ugly
HG on the PSA 16" Mid-length A2 Premium.

I don't like the look of most of the short square ones, as they look to blocky and are large and sharp in the hand. A round HG may be an option?
I want it to be light and the only attachment option I would us is a front side sling attachment and I'm not paying $300 for HG.
Any suggestions?

Around $100 - I just can't stand the large-fat-ugly-round handguard.

If you want a handguard, you might as well get a free-float. And from what it sounds like, you want a smooth/rounded handguard that is also modular (i.e., detachable rails). You have three options here:

-Mid length handguard (use existing front-sight-post/end cap)
-Extended mid length handguard (use existing front-sight-post/end W/O end cap)
-Rifle length handguard (use existing front-sight-post but chop off top W/O end cap, or use low-profile gas block)

With the extended mid-length and rifle-length handguards, this gives you more forearm to grab onto for greater maneuverability so as to not touch the front-sight-post and potentially/inadvertently burning your self. Plus longer handguards look great! Anyway, here are some examples:

There are so many handguards out there that you honestly will have to do some research on to see which you like best. As for the sling mount, you can purchase rail sling attachments separately. These are particularly cool:

Go with any two piece drop-in handguard like this one from Midwest Industries. No gunsmith skill required. Removing the frontsight can be a pain in the butt sometimes.
Magpul MOE is another good choice.

Thanks for the link but that's exactly what I don't want. A sharp and blocky type handguard and I would not be removing the front sight from the picture.

It's completely modular and it fits my smaller hands perfectly. It's diameter is smaller that your stock one.
