I recently swapped a Bushmaster barrel and bolt carrier group from an old A2 Bushmaster receiver to a newer V Match Bushmaster upper receiver. Do I need to check head space again even though the bolt was already head spaced to the barrel at the factory? If so, does anyone know a good gunsmith in Orange County who does that?

nope. -
Changing receivers on AR type rifles should have no effect on headspace.
It's a good habit to check headspace every 2000 rounds.Randall Rausch
