I bought a Yankee Hill upper and when it arrived it looks very flat with a chalky feel. I asked RocoBro about it and he mentioned oiling it? Is this normal for new, stripped uppers and if so, what kind of oil?

Seems about right. As for oil, I really don't oil my lower's external areas often. You could use some Rem Oil wipes. Works for me. Just wipe of excess.1A - 2A= -1A :( -
