Bolts don't "go bad" unless they crack or the trunnion cracked. I wonder if the barrel slid forward some causing the headspace to open up, or it was back too far not allowing the bolt to turn into battery. Tight is a fairly easy fix with files and lapping compound. Too much means pulling the barrel and welding a little. The guy looked at this guys gun yesterday. He took it all apart inspected the casing, the bolt, and everything. It was a bad bolt and bad ejector. The head
Ok good news:
Todd got my gun Yesterday. He took it all apart inspected the casing, the bolt, and everything. It was a bad bolt and bad ejector. The head and ejector and rebuilt the entire receiver, put it altogether. He test fired and it's running flawlessly!
It's going into paint right now then he will retest everything. Once he's 100% convinced will figure out shipping.
Not sure about prices yet but I don't think it will be too bad.
Keep you posted.
This makes sense as the bubble in the shell was about 1/16 to 1/8th and that would be some crazy head spacing issues!!!
Does anyone know how much it would cost to get some other guns fixed headspace wise? There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Please tell me you didn't take it back to the same idiot that set it up in the first place?
As SJ said blots don't go bad unless catastrophic failure of a part or stress cracking. but that takes eons to happen. If this was the guy that set it up. you just allowed him to cover his arse and cover up his screw upComment
