I am waiting for a Bullet Button in the mail, but in the meantime, while trying to swap parts, I cannot remove the Bullet Button from one lower. It may be a Prince 50, I don't remember. The actuator is smooth, no screwdriver slot. I cannot push the mag release bar out of the slot in the receiver. If I pull out on the oval 'mag release', it will not clear the receiver either.

BB Removal

The bolt should not have a slot, the thin round nut that threads onto the threaded bolt should have two small cut outs in it on opposite sides, I use a small eyeglass screwdriver to unscrew it off of the bolt. It may have lock tight on it so you may have to use a blow dryer to soften it up with some heat. -
There are NO screw slots. I can't remember how I installed it.Comment

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. looks like you need the tool designed for it. it has two prongs that fit the sleeve around the button. you may be able to use a very small screwdriver or an awl and unscrew the sleeve that way, if its not too tight...

Not sure if the OP has successfully removed his BB. If all the laws go thru that are pending BBs 'may' be a thing of the past and a lot of folks will be inquiring.
I had the 'slotted' spacer/holder that screwed down onto the mag catch while the BB attached to it. I did not install it... but the FFL that did used blue LocTite. Heated with hair dryer 'and' butane (after dryer failed to sufficiently effect). The Butane was applied for a full minute but never was there any 'smoking' (which I understand indicates the Blue is softening/melting). I used the tool linked in this thread and ultimately after several tries sheared both tabs off. Filed it down, made a new one, sheared those off too (you can make such a tool from a .22 long case as well).
Ultimately I had to drill out the darn thing and that was a chore. Took two titanium 1/16 bits, lots of elbow grease with a homemade small chisel. It finally split (the BB) and came out but I'll need a new mag catch as the threads got dinged badly. Moral of the story... if it is stuck, get a bigger tool and not the little red tabbed one as they shear. Use more heat than I did because if you have to drill it out, at least I found, it isn't fun. Take care.Attached FilesAvid Shooter... More 'avid' gun rights activist.

You drilled out the wrong end!
The easy way is to center punch the swaged end in the latch bar, then drill down through it with a 3/16" drill bit until the shaft comes out of the latch bar.
Then it all just falls apart.
You can then take the bullet button parts all out and re-use them usually...Randall Rausch

There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.Avid Shooter... More 'avid' gun rights activist.
