    Model 11/A5 loading problems

I picked up Model 11 shotgun yesterday and discovered that its not able to really load the magazine.

The elevator doesn't depress to slide the shell into the tube.
It seems like the shell is hanging out beyond what is normal when I do get the shell by depressing the slide release

I should add that the magazine spring is kinked but I believe still functional
It will be getting replace with a new one

    Here's a video

The bolt release has to be held down in order to get a round past the elevator. Also, the small catch on the bottom of the bolt is what holds the round in the magazine. So that is normal. Are you able to load more than 1 round in the magazine?

Ok, I got the elevator situation figured out
I was not aware that the release needed to be held down inorder for shells to be loaded in

You have a 1 piece carrier. You can modify a 2 piece carrier from some of the browning line to fit a model 11. This will allow you to just stuff a shell in the magazine without depressing the bolt release.
