    Botched bedding job

I recently bought a used bolt action that came with 2 wooden stocks, both are pretty beat up. I am trying my hand at refinishing one of them, so far I have removed the old finish. The one I am refinishing has had a bedding job around the barrel lug so I test fitted the action to the stock. The action is twisted when fitted into the barrel lug (maybe it warped at some point?) to the point the action screws no longer line up. I am wondering if there is any way to remove the old bedding job to redo it? Should I just take a dremel to it? Thanks.

dremel and JB weld, be sure to use modeling clay in all the openings and johnsons paste wax or shoe polish as a release agent, wax top surfaces of stock wher epoxy may seep out and over gaps in stock.
