CETME build help

Tomorrow I am picking up a CETME with the original and a brand new barrel. I know they are very similar to the G3 and I understand that is a rough build but I would like to get this completed by the end of the month. Do they do these at the HK build parties? I can do a lot of the demilling work at home, but the barrel work, headspacing, and sight system is best left to the professionals. Any help would be much appreciated, anyone that is willing to work with me or do a build party/ personal build party please leave a message or pm me. again thanks for your time and info

The Cetme and HK build exactly the same way with the same tooling. There are seperate tutorials for the trigger pack modifications, the HK takes about 20 minutes longer to convert than the cetme. You can do it at any build party you can find.

Once you get the bolt gap set and have the trunnion welded into the receiver and are preparing to set the cocking tube in place read and re-read the tutorial on setting the cocking tube gap until it's clear. The biggest mistake new builders make is welding the tube into the receiver without shimming it for gap first.

Your schedule is pretty aggresive. I have everything needed in my shop and it still takes about a week to take one from kit to finished rifle.

I just picked up the kit yesterday and started to de-mill the parts spot welded in place. So far I got the front trunnion out and the cocking tube nicely. I was able to get both parts out in great condition and am looking forward to the next process. Not quite sure how to get the mag lock or release out from the cut away receiver. there is no more pin but its still stuck in the trunnion
