    Trigger group pins

I am about to begin the task of building my first 80% lower from the ground up, and I ended up buying an anodized 80%. From research that I have done, I found people saying that since the new holes are going to not be anodized it might be a good point to get a trigger group pin to lock everything up tight.

Can anyone enlighten me if that is actually true?

Does anyone know what the difference is between a Gen 2 mod 1 pin set and a Gen 2 mod 2 pin set?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

      The side plates are different.

        To quote the ad:

There is no difference in strength between the Gen 2 and the Gen 2 Mod 2 side plates. The only difference is cosmetic.
