Missing Extractor Pin in S&W 629-1

I have a Model 629-1 that is missing one of the extractor pins, that the extractor indexes on. The hole where the pin fits is empty so apparently the pin has fallen out. Can someone help me with another pin? I am hoping the pin can be pressed in or fixed with something like Loc-Tite, or should the cylinder be taken to a gunsmith for repair? Thank you for your help.
An inquiry to S&W indicated they no longer carry the pin and it was installed at the factory.

I think if you have a local gunsmith he would have some options.

A simple fix...

...by making a new pin and installing with Loctite.

Pin's are available in 0.001" increments and are cut to length, the ends rounded and tapped into the cylinder.

I'd call Numrich and see if they have the part available. You could also see if the S&W custom shop has the pins and/or can do the repair.

Cool home diy project, imo. Definitely start by removing the crane and then the cylinder.

Called local gunsmith and they had no pins so I fabricated one myself. Used a small letter drill bit that was a couple thousandths larger than other ejector pin and lightly ground it down, cut to proper length and swagged it in place. The repaired pin is on the right ~4:00.
