Saiga 223 bolt question

Hello and Happy New Year. May all this 223 crazyness disappear !!!
As you can see from my picture, the head of the piston has quiet a bit of uneven carbon buildup (yes I have been shooting Woolf Ammo). What is the best way to clean this up, I don't have access to a machine shop. I bought the gun new and I have about 2000 + rounds through it. So far no problems.
Is there something to dip it on, or ??????

Have you tried a solvent like hoppes?

Us a regular nickel as a carbon scraper it's hard enough to remove the carbon and soft enough to not damage the chrome. Whats left use a stainless steel brush. If there is any after that leave it as it will not ever come off.

Wire wheel or wire brush will take it right off.
It does no harm to just leave it there either...

No reason to be concerned! It is an AK pattern rifle and that piston is going to get dirty, no matter what brand ammo! I use Hoppes and a brass brush and am fine with the outcome. Not crusty but not spotless.

On the other hand, if you have 2k rounds down the barrel, do you now have a concern?
