Saiga Conversion Issues

I recently did the trigger conversion on my Saiga 7.62x39. Everything went well and the rifle operates like it should. The issue is that every other round or so the push pin that holds the mag catch button will start to back out. I am using the kit from Carolina Shooter Supply. The only thing I can figure is I opted for this part :

Honestly though I can't figure out what I did wrong. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you referring to the bolt hold open "button"/hammer pin? I ask, because the only rifles I have been able to make the Tapco retaining plate work on has been the polish Tantal.

It looks like my retainer plate failed me after searching around. Looks like I will be buying some "E" clips from the local hardware store.

I am referring to pin that runs through the spring of the bolt hold open latch. If that makes sense. It appears somehow the retaining plate I am using instead of the shepherds hook isn't doing it's job.

E clips will get it done or just order up a Red Star retaining plate.

Try a Red Star retaining plate.

Well I opted out for the quick fix. 1 dollar later and a trip to Home Depot my issue is resolved. "E" clips did the trick.

The red star plate is great, and not very expensive.
