How do I attach a front sight?

Help please. Colt M4 5.56, 24" HBAR Stainless. I would like to put typical open sights on this rifle. The rear is a standard rail design but the front?

You may want to to do a clamp on type sight. Such as this, http://www.riflegear.com/p-927-armal...-w-screws.aspx

If you purchase a FSB from bravocompany it may not align to the preexisting channel on the barrel when you drill it.

You could change the gas block to one with a rail on it and then mount it on there.
