    A2 Flash Hider work on M4

    Guys,


    I bought an unfired Spikes M4 style upper from a fellow calguner, buy my A2 flash hider is a ***** to put on, it will not go on for the life of me. Help A2

    might have thread locker on, heat up end of barrel and then try twisting off.

    is barrel length under 16"? if it is, the FH could be pinned and welded on

      he said its hard to go on not to take the other one off

      clean the threads with a needle both inside and out

      are you sure you have a real a2 hider some are made that look like the ar-15 but are for other types i remember the ones for the threaded federal ordnance barrels

        Sounds like the thread pitch tolerance between both are different...

          I have run into several factory barrels with threads that were a couple thousandths oversized in pitch diameter.
          It makes it really fun to install a muzzle device with in-spec threads...
