    Kimber conversion

I was curious if its possible to convert a pro carry ii hd in .45 to either 10mm or 9mm is it as simple as changing barrel and mags or alot more involved i just thought it would nice to be able to switch between cals im new to Kimbers and 1911s so any help is appreciated thanks.

You could probably get away with tuning a 10mm barrel (new springs, mags, etc), but it's going to be hard to get a non-ramped 9mm barrel.

Ok yea i was just curious cause i see there's 1911s in theses cals and figured that most parts were interchangeable and 9mm was alot cheaper to shoot but thought it would be nice to switch back to 45 and or 10mm for them days you want somthing different.

The barrel, breech face, ejector and magazines are different. The complete top end might be interchangeable.

So the conversion kits that only include the barrel and bushing won't work? I was wondering about the breech face and extractor from. 45 to 10mm
