Hey guys I am bolting together a new Savage shooter and I need to borrow a barrel nut wrench(smooth) and possibly an action vise/insert? along with a go-nogo gauge for a 243. I will rent your stuff or trade you some brass or??? I don't really want to purchase this stuff it will most likely be a one time deal tho if someone has extra for real cheap I would do that.

The barrel nut wrench is nothing more then a spanner wrench. Go no go gages you can use .308 gages.
Sorry I can't be of more help

Be sure though that you set the barrel on the Go gage a little tight. Savage factory spec uses a special go gage that is .002" short so when you torque the barrel nut and the barrel pulls forward increasing your head space it will be right at the minimum.
