Simple M14 work, Need SoCal Gunsmith

Hi everyone,

Bought a SEI picatinny swivel rail for my SA Loaded.

It comes with a steel plate to reinforce the rail, which needs to be milled into the stock. Any gunsmiths in greater LA area up for the job? Thanks.

You could call up Hoag and see how much he'd charge you or if he'd do the work. He's more of a 1911 guy, but I think he pretty much works on anything. I've found him to be very fair.

router. one doesn't really mill a stock. a dremel with the router attachment would be perfect.

SEI told me they mill the steel plate into the stock.

i was way tired when i posted that. if those go on the inside they could be a real pain. i would look for somone who does a lot of stock work or builds stocks from scratch. if you can't find locally, shipping a stock is no big thing.
