    rem model 10 trigger

I am getting a model 10 shotgun. You really have to cock it hard to reset the trigger. Any ideas on a fix. I saw some youtube videos on barrel removal and on those shotguns the trigger is light and smooth. Anyone have and ideas to try? If I can get it working I want to have it blued. Old finish is gone. Most people tell me to pass on this gun but for some reason I want to make this one work. Thank for you input.

I'd start with a good clean and lube.

Cleaned and lubed. I made sure the bolt was all the way forward. This should be all the forward to put the action rod in. This one is so warn the bolt can be half way back! Its been welded before. I'm. Going to have it tig welded and tempered so it won't wear out again. Well for another 90 years then I waitting to hear back from remington. If its the original barrel I will find someone to re blue it. If its not I'm going to ask the local gunsmith to chamber it for 3inch shells chop it to 20 inchs and maybe nickel boron all the metal. I just bought toung oil and am going to steam some dents out of the stock and hand sand it with some 1000 grit.
