Help! Saiga pistol grip

Hey guys, finally got my grip screw and lo and behold, i doesnt quite mate up:

What do yall think? Should i sand off part of the front of the pistol grip to get it a little more flush, or is there a bigger prolem here(like a misplaced trigger guard) new to ak, new to converting , so anyone who has seen this, i would appreciate them chiming in...

Never seen that before. Loosen the screw, make sure the nut is sitting flat on the receiver and move the grip into the correct position before re-tightening the screw. A better picture showing the fit of the grip wrap to the buttstock would help too.

It seems like the angle of the nut is slightly off. The nut is a part of the trigger group, which i not familiar with. I do have te tapco nut, but would rather not grind of the trigger guard. The saw grip i have works, but i dont have the grip wrap for it, and i wanna keep it featureless.

Where did you get the wood it looks nice.

Got it from another calgunner, and refinished it myself using the stickied tutorial on stock refinishing. Shouldve test fitted it first, you can see that it needs fitting. Thank you though!
