    Mac's Shootin Irons

Does anyone know if Mac is alright and still in business? He has had one of my guns for several weeks. He is no longer responding to his email and the phone just rings. If anyone know anything, please leave a post.

      Update on Mac's

Well, I searched the internet and found that I am not the only guy to have sent my gun to Mac's and to be stuck waiting. Some folks have waited over 4 months and have yet to get their guns back!!!! I did get another email telling me that Mac has been very ill. This may be true. His history until recently has been very positive. In any case, I do not have my gun, I have spent quite a few $$$, and I am not sure if I will ever get it back. I did get an email recently with the same "gun is almost complete and I will be returning it soon" message.

It appears that Mac's Shootin Irons is still taking in business. He took my gun in when he had several unhappy customers looking for their weapons. I would NOT send this company any business until this issue is resolved. I do get emails back but they are not very reassuring at this point.

Meanwhile, I am thinking of calling the Tucson Police Dept. and at least letting them know that a gun registered to me is in the hands of someone who I think will not return it. This would at least limit my liability should the weapon find it's way to Mexico or be used in a crime. I am also thinking of driving down there and asking for my gun, in what ever condition, back.

I will update if things change!

Too funny "four months is a hell of a long time"

Just wait till you send a rifle off to a real custom builder and he tells you 18 to 24 months right off the bat. Four months is quick turnaround in my book for custom work.
