    Model 7

Can anyone tell me the difference between a Rem. model 7 action and a model 700 action or the 40x action ? Thanks,

I have a remington model 7. The action is a little shorter. It is supposed to be a little lighter because of this. Mine has a heavy shilen barrel on it and it is very accurate. The thing that I dont like about the model seven is that your stock options are slim to none. Mine is chambered in .243 Winchester.

The scope mounting holes are also different from the 700.
