I recently milled a full size grip template for the 1911. This template was used to drill the thru holes and finish the overall shape of the grip.
I see requests online for something like this quite often. I know there are others that make something similar, but they are often made out of aluminum. This one was made of O-1 and can be drilled as well as sanded up against without damage to the template. I may even put in a bushing wrench and possibly a bottle opener.
Basically seeing if anyone on here would be interested, if so I'll open up a group buy or just run a small batch.
