    AR gas tube install question:

Having trouble with one of the M16A1 kits that were going around a while back. Barrel came with the FSB attached. Nothing else is assembled as yet, just test fitting parts.

I'm trying to get the gas tube into the fsb and its simply not going.
Ive cleaned it (was very dirty) and even used steel brush and light filing to try to remove any potential buring inside the fsb. No dice. The gas tube will slide in approximately 1/8-1/4 inch freely and then meet steadily stiffening resistance until it cannot be moved at all.

If this was one of my AK's Id just grab my file and go to town, but Im not sure with these.

have I just been really lucky in the past? This isn't my first upper assembly, but the ones Ive built in the past have gone together very easily.

Ream the gas tube opening in the fsb with the proper size drill bit. Go deep enough to get the tube to seat right and get roll pinned.

You know I did just that and it went in. I just had to put some a** into it.
Was a bit weary of it AR's being so fragile...
