Hey all, so I have seen a few people asking about the topic lately and the issue of cost has come up of the mag blocks and with permanency of them. I myself have had a problem with the rivet method, in my case once it was riveted the mag wouldn't fit in the magwell the rivet would hit the bottom of the receiver before the mag catch would engage.

I thought I would share how I did a few of mine. The total cost about 6 bucks for three (most of witch was epoxy) and its permanent. This was done on a few 20rnd mags but with some clever clamping or wedges I don't see why this couldn't be done on the 30s as well.
The pics should be self explanatory but what I did was get some square plastic hobby stringers cut them to approximate length. Then apply the epoxy load 10 rounds and slide the stringers up against the follower and let set done.
On a side note I did allow just a little give after the tenth round to better seat the mag on a closed bolt but not enough for an 11th round.
On to pics.

and one just if any one was wondering

I hope this helps anyone trying to block your own as an easy cheap method.
and sorry for the cell pics
