People like nicoroshi, yari, and mach69 (to name just a few) Would be happy to hear about any of your notes with respect to the virgin front trunion, and drilling of rear trunion.
So far, I figured out the front trunion follows standard romo rivet hole location, yet the barrel pin location isn't documented anywhere I've been looking? From 2007, The notorious John (who has disappeared it seems) from JCD Tactical Law Enforcement Sales has documented that the front barrel center point horizontal plane (parrallel 0plane) to the front rivet hole is .5100in, but he never mentions how far back parallel to the front of the trunion the center point is (see pic 9/10 from thread at http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28802).
I'd love to know how far from the front of the trunion this axis is. The rear trunion is easy to mill out using a akb m92 flat or m70ab2 flat, all though it takes some time, the layout is there. The front trunion I can't find spec for?
Anyways it's been 5 years since John did the "virgin m92" write up @ the files, I'm sure others are doing them, not everyone is sending them off? Anyone pinned a fake can to the sbr length barrel vs. using the 16" and just being able to screw it on. Im thinking that blind pinning and using basic aluminum fill rod melted with a oxy/mapp combo torch (dont have a tig/mig) should do the job, ideas here as well?
How a'bout posting your build notes to help those of us who have picked up one of the many m85/m92 's that are all over the place...
Looking forward to your notes, I know lots of you have done them (nicoroshi comes to mind, the guy must have every Krink ever released)..
Again, unlike most of the other builds, the info seems to be scattered all over the place, yet I havent been able to locate the center point of the barrel pin to drill the trunion.
Thanks in advance, much appreciated.
