AR45 question

Wanted to get some advice as I plan on building an AR in 45 ACP

OK guys here is my dilemma should I use a dedicated lower for grease gun mags or should I use modified grease gun mags to fit into an AR mil spec lower

I'm using .45 ACP UZI mags on my .45 AR.
(ProMag makes 10 round .45 uzi mags)
Going gas operated as well, though the gas tube is only about 2" long.

Honestly I'm not sure how you'd modify grease gun mags to fit in a normal lower. I'd go with a dedicated lower if it was me.

I used an Oly Arms 45ACP upper and their polymer magazines. The ejector works, the last round bolt hold back works, it is a very impressive direct blow back system that for me has worked 100%.

Olympic makes two magazines for the K45 rifle kit: 10 round and 18 round. Each rifle kit includes one magazine. Olympic also makes rifle kits in 9mm, 10mm, and .40 S&W (all with 10 round magazines). Sometimes the rifle kits and/or magazines are on back order, so you may need to wait to complete the purchase.

i believe all 9mm are blowback, and I remember seeing someone on AR15 making and testing a gas operated .45.

The Oly 10 round .45 magazines are the same as an 18 round magazine but with a piece of wood for the 10 round limit. Oly is a single stack so any standard lower will work. Buy it, try it, sell it if you don't like.
