    ak47 80% receiver

was wondering if any one has done a build using one of the henderson defense 80% ak receiver? http://www.hendersondefense.com/stor...ver-16p362.htm

they are all ready bent and bolt rails allready welded in place.

    any thoughts?

Those look like there's still a lot of cutting to do: mag well, trigger opening, rails cut and contoured. Then you're trusting that the sticker locating the holes was applied properly.
Seems to me that a "drilled flat" or "pre-bent Polish" would be a better choice, especially for a first attempt.

Those are a metric ***-ton more work than an akbuilder flat or polish pre-bent receiver. I would avoid them.

I built a polish underfolder on a polish bent receiver, I took it slow and used a dremel and a power drill. It was an intresting experience but it would be pretty difficult if I hadn't of had some help with the welding of the rails and riveting.

I have done one and it is not worth the time. hours and hours compared to a few minutes with a bending jig. What is your time worth to you.
