    Gunsmith San Diego?

I have a friend who has a Ruger SP101 .357 who wants to get the trigger pull lightened on it.

Does anyone know of a gunsmith in San Diego who could do this? He has taken it to a couple places, the first had it for 12 weeks (don't remember the name) and the other place, Duncan's, told him it would be 6 months.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I gave him Don's number.

I asked him and Balboa Arms (not around anymore, he said) was the first place he took it too and yes, the wait was insane.

A lot of gunsmiths left CA and I no longer even look in San Diego. Find a good smith in another state and just pay shipping.

I think they stopped smithing a while ago.

Who is Don? I have shipped out a few pistol to a Smith in Texas before but it does add cost and a hassle.

Don Gussler is an FFL and a gunsmith... If you go to the SBRGC (South Bay Rod & Gun Club) website you will find his contact info...

Does Don also do refinishing work? The matte black oxide finish on my kimber TLE is wearing off. If he doesn't, can someone suggest a good solid reputable shop that can in the San Diego area? Thanks!
