      Might be better off with a blank from Cold Steel to avoid hassles. More work, but the end result should be identical.

        I got mine from cold steel. They took a while to get it out to me. After a few emails and 5 weeks later I finally got my 80% receiver which is more like a 40%. no worries though, I like the challenge. The material is super thick as well.

          That's what appeals to me. I would probably figure out how to stiffen it further in the usual trouble spots, but clearance for the selector may mean lengthening the stem of the selector depending on how much plate thickness is added.
