Can anyone recommend a brand and source for some good "no mar" pliers?

There are a bunch of ways to skin this cat. What are you working on?


One rule of thumb:
If you can mess it up with pliers, they are probably not the right tool for the job.

get some smooth jawed channel locks, I think there are even ones with teflon inserts for the jaws.

pliers + tape = no mar

If you want to get fancy, you can use leather or rawhide strips, but tape is cheaper, easier to obtain and when worn out, replaced.
