Putting a Harris bipod on a Saiga

So, I did this to a friend's Saiga several months ago, took plenty of pics, and just finally got around to writing a how-to about it. I figure some of you guys might be interested.

To make a long story short, it's how to convert the forward sling mount in the Saiga handguard, into a Harris-compatible bipod mount. The end results are ... well, incredibly neat.

The combination of The Gun Wiki to our system is not only in line with what we are working on, but will also serve as a means in which to build upon our ongoing projects.

The guy I did the mod for is on disability and has some issues with fine motor control on one of his arms. Thus, a bipod made it much easier for him to use his rifle.

But, I will admit that part of me irrationally desires to perform the same conversion on my 308 trunk-Saiga...
