    AR15 Gas Key issues

Hey everyone, I recently obtained a Bushmaster National Match A2 upper in used but good condition, it has about 1800 rounds through it. Everything looks great except the hex screws on my BCG's gas key. Should I think about getting a new gas key and retorquing and restaking myself or continue to run it in its current fashion. The staking honestly looks solid, however it looks like the PO may have torqued down the gas key screws because they look rounded out (I'll try and find a better camera they're more rounded out then the picture shows.) What do y'all think my best course of action is?
Here is the BCG and gas key as is.

Does it work? If not, why are you worrying? If it ain't broke don't fix it. If it doesn't work then fix it.

I haven't had a chance to go to the range yet since my upper is in jail till next week. PO said it functioned great, but my buddy who's had quite a bit of AR experience was a little sketched out by it (since it didn't seem right compared to the rest of the upper, the upper, bolt and bolt carrier look immaculate). Just want to get some insight on the matter.

Put match marks on both screws; use a chisel to make an indelible groove across the screw and the surrounding metal. Then if they move, you'll know. AR15 had a whole thread about this; with pictures even. Yours doesn't look like a really good example of doing it right..... you might want to "adjust" those and make them a little deeper.

I would definitely get new screws, red loctite and stake 'em. It looks like the previus owner did a half *** job.

Typically I would agree with this statement. Now since we have a used weapon. I would check everything . I'm just picky that way. I have to trust my weapons and when one give me problems it is set aside until it's fixed and confidence can be restored.

Buggered up screws is not a sign that gives me a good feeling. I'd replace the screws and restake.
In this case it's cheep insurance.

From what I read around the web and what I read here I'll replace the gas key screws, retorque and restake them. Doesn't look difficult I'd rather play it safe than sorry.
