Please help, my AR’s bold is stuck!!

Alright, So I was out shooting and I have this dummy round with no firing pin in it and no powder that I use to push in the bullet button. Well I didnt notice it and accidentally loaded it in the magazine. All was going well until this round loaded (which is a 5.56, and my gun is chambered for 5.56) and the BCG only went forward a little bit so I tried the forward assist, nothing happened. i tried pulling back on the charging handle, nothing happened. So I tried to take the upper off with the take down pin, but since the BCG wasnt all the way forward I couldnt do it. So I ended up going home and taking off my buffer tube and pushing the BCG forward so that I could get the upper off of the lower. Well I did this, and I look into where the bolt and chamber are......And to my horror I find that the bolt had gone into the chamber all the way, turned clockwise JUST enough to have the notches from the bolt sit behind, or in front of the notches of the chamber. So there is absolutely no way I can see of getting it out unless I take it to a gunsmith. So I neeeedddd your opinion, has ANYONE seen this before? Again, there is NO live round inside, there is a dummy round and I think its pushed in further than its supposed to go.

Assuming your right handed, hold the forward grip with your left hand, pull back on the charging handle with right thumb and index finger. While pulling hard, smack the butt of the rifle ona firm surface. If it doesnt unlock, hit it harder. It will eventually pop free. You simply got a fat round (dummy in this case) stuck in there. Have you read the general M-16 manual? Its covered in there.

Now that you have the upper off and can see the leading edge of the bolt. Carefully pry the bolt backward. If you can get a screwdriver blade into the gap. Careful not too much maggilla gorilla.

You ask for advice, I give it, then back it up by telling you the exact same info and procedure is in the M-16 operators manual TM 9-1005-319-10 and you still ask me if I'm sure?!?!

I just wanted to clarify, I don’t know if this is the same problem, but the notches, or ears of the bolt have been pushed into the chamber, further than they are supposed to go, and then they turned so that the ears of the bolt are stuck inside the chamber because the ears are sitting on top of eachother. Idk, it just doesnt seem like smacking it on the stock will do anything because it seems like the dummy round is pushed further in, instead of being to fat for the chamber.

                    DO what he says.
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

they're supposed to do that. it's how the bolt locks into place.
