Looking for a good CETME build tutorial

As the title says, I'm looking for a good CETME build tutorial with pictures. If you guys have one handy, or have the link to one handy, please, let me know. I need to read up on it before the BP, and I can't find the ones I saved.

If you haven't already, join Weaponsguild and Militaryfirearm. This is where most of the DRB knowledge is and quite a few comprehensive build tutorials. I refer to the materials often.

I'm a member on both. However, the threads on Militaryfirearms that refer to CETME tutorials mostly have broken links, and the rest have a bit of info on this particular task here and there. And I do remember seeing complete tutorials, I even saved a few, but it looks like I managed to lose them somehow. On Weaponsguild, apparently I can't access all of the content. Either that, or some of the links don't work.

Google isn't much help either, as it refers to the very threads on Militaryfirearms and Weaponsguild that I went through, or to the threads on other forums that ultimately refer to those. Arizona Response Systems used to have a good tutorial (one of those I "saved"), but they took it off their site for some reason.

There's a lot of good info there (spread over a lot of threads), but I distinctly remember there being at least two complete step-by-step tutorials.

are you talking about a flat bending tutorial ?

theres a few out there some just bending the flat with a large screw driver and the flat bolted to a bench to full out jigs and mandrel builds

I needed one for everything after bending the flat. I already bent mine.

Sure thing. Talk about an exhaustive tutorial.... He deserves a gold star. How did you bend your flat, Nick?

With Holescreek's jig at Justin's BP. The PTR flat didn't even require flattening the rails. The rails on the Gewehr one had to be squared. Does Gewehr still sell their flats? PTR flats seem to be way better, and for the same price I'm not sure who'd buy the Gewehr ones (except for me, apparently).

Tutorials are a ton of work and when you post one it opens you up to criticism and ridicule by everyone who's sister's boyfriend who knew a guy that built an AR while watching a video once has to say.

Rather than putting together one long tutorial I broke mine down into sections to cover just the stuff where a wrong turn can cost some money. You'd be surprised how many people don't set their cocking tube gap. On my last two HK33's I even had to cut the receiver top-tube back to get the gap right, never had to do that on a Cetme. Unfortunately, you will have to be a WG member to see the threads, but it's free and the site is filled with great people.

Demilling the kit and modifying the (cetme) trigger pack:

                              Demilling the HK trigger pack:

Fitting the mag catch, New receiver prep:

Pressing the barrel into the trunnion/ setting bolt gap:

                              Setting the cocking tube gap:

                              HK33 build by the numbers:

Good luck with your builds, don't hesitate to ask questions.
Here was my first build thread (shorty cetme and GHG1) It's kind of embarrassing but it does serve to show the learning curve: http://www.weaponsguild.com/forum/in...3177#msg103177
