building from Flat

Who in the San Diego area knows how to build a reciever from a flat. I have a couple flats that I would like to build and would like someone to teach me and couple other people. message me if you can help! Thanks!

There are build parties in SD. Look in the WTB forum and see if you can get in one.

Bad timing buddy. Build PArty this weekend would be your best bet if it wasn't full.

That said I will let you use my jig in a press with supervision for $40 and you have one hour to bend as many flats as you like. I also offer other AK home built services as well. But a build party is your best bet.

I just want to build a complete receiver from a flat and heat treated. Rails, center support, bent, and heat treated.

Find a BP. When I was in your shoes, there were no BPs anywhere in the state and it looks as if they were a thing of the past. So, I hosted one. If you can't find one that'll fit into your schedual, you could always try hosting your own and see what happens.

I would do a BP but I kinda like the one on one so I can learn more. I don't mind paying someone $50 to help me make a flat into a receiver. Especially since it's pre-drilled. Education is priceless.

I have a BP coming up in July. Several builders from SD will be making the trek and you might be able to carpool.
