trashed flats/drilled barrels/take off 922r parts = GUN BUY BACK BUILD?

I've got half a dozen flats that I screwed up during the learning curve, cocking tubes cut short or bent, barrels with holes drilled in them, egged out trunnions, take off 922r parts, trigger, hammer, sear, etc.
    I read this:

and figured, how about I break out the hammer, hammer that flat back straight again, weld in that barrel with the holes drilled, and turn in some guns for some CGF cash?
I figure I already bent the flat (intending to use it for myself, but screwed it up), so it should all be good.
    Opinions?
    Anybody want pool some parts?

They only give out $100 no matter how many guns you turn in.

I went last time to LA Fire Training center to turn in an old Sears 22 rifle, not worth more than $40. Had to wait in line close to an hour. Not worth it if you have to do build it.

The guy in front of me turned in several long guns, three handguns and 2 full cases of ammo.

Had I known I would have given him $500 for the lot. Probably a grand pappy's stash.
