    OLL Class

Lance from TTi has asked me if there would be any interest in a class designed around the OLL's that seem so popular. I told him that I didn't know but I would post something here and let him know. They are thinking of offering a class that is half classroom and half range work.

The morning classroom section would cover complete building of OLL's, maintenance, and customizing of the OLL platforms. It would also cover ammo selection's and ballistic's.

The afternoon section would be a live fire range session starting with sighting in and moving thru position shooting, movement drills, and CQB drills. It would end with all students taking part in several live fire CQB courses of fire.

Pricing would probably be in the area of $150.00 per student and ammo requirements would be around 300-400 rounds. The class would be at Prado Shooting Park in Chino. Lance has built a lot of OLL's and AR-15's for some pretty impressive clients and is an experienced 3 Gun competitor so he knows what works and what doesn't. The range staff is composed of former military and/or law enforcement instructors with years of experience. Bottom line is this class would be full of good training for a reasonable price. The class would be limited to 10 students to ensure everyone got direct hands on instruction.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in drop me an email (Mtrclass@aol.com) and I will let them know.

There is nothing to building an AR. Tinker toy assembly. You should do a class on the assembly of an AK. There seems to be more interest on building the AK here lately. Just a suggestion.

Another great post by you. Seems to be a trend.

I'm sure there are a lot of new to OLL people that would like the class. There's no reason for anyone, let alone a guy with 20 days as a member here to thread crap.

Other then Mr. Hawk81 we have had a pretty big response to the idea of a class so we have gone ahead and scheduled a date. We are looking at Feb. 17th at Prado Shooting Park.

For additional info or to reserve a slot please call Lance at 760-900-3590. The class will be limited to 10 people. If we need more room we will schedule another class date.

Wow - sounds like a great idea!

I would love to come - but I'm up in Oakland. . .

The only thing I might suggest is a short legal primer at the very beginning so that people understand the difference between "featured" and "featureless" builds, mag restrictions for featured builds, etc..
