The reason I boil parts going into tank id to degrease them, bonus of heating them up.

If you saw bare metal after bath that generally means contamination of some kinf that is preventing acid from touching the metal and causing reaction. If you cannot eliminate this entirely, take parts out after 5 minutes and wipe/scrub them down with lint-free cloth to get whatever it is off the surface and then put back in bath. I use thick rbber gloves to prevent burns on hot metal parts.

Is there a store anywhere near Stockton where I can find some parking solution?

So I went through the parts I parked last night, only one turned out perfect. But I don't know what I did to make it that way. I had decided to put the loose parts for my AK in there half way through. So it was in the middle of my crappy parking job. It is the gas tube. It's like the perfect black. No closer now than when I started this voyage.

For the love of god. DAY THREE. Crapped out yet again. Can I pay someone to either help me or to park my mags and rifle?

It appeared things were going well. So I decided to try the AK. Show's how stupid I am, lol.

I've done my own parkerizing and have found it is best to get some iron filings or use some regular carbon steel in the solution before I try the regular parts to season the solution. Also I always suspend the parts or put the smaller parts in a stainless basket. I try to keep everything off of the bottom as that is where a lot of the "sludge" is and you won't get a proper coating. My.02 hope it helps though.

Well I talked to smoothy8500, he thinks it sounds like contaminated solution. Now I need to dump out my solution, bead blast and clean my tank. Then, re-beadblast all my parts again. But only after I reorder more solution...

Don't need to blast the tank, just clean/degrease it. Some people have had issues degreasing with Simple Green. Maybe not completely removing oil, or maybe leaves residue. Some people use TSP (TriSodium Phosphate) bought at Home Depot. Denatured alcohol is an excellent parts cleaner/degreaser, not as noxious as acetone, MEK, or brake cleaner. Use quality park solution, such as Brownell's Zinc Phosphate or Lauer's Black Manganese. Use plastic or stainless tongs to remove parts. Wood dowels or sticks may contaminate the solution from the tannins in the wood.

                  Lauer's Black Manganese

                  Brownells Zinc Phosphate
