Hope all is well. I had a question for you dudes. Since the March party my brother has aquired all the tools needed to build. We now have everything and have built off of Nodaks and flats but only from kits with barrels.

We have sinced purchased our first non barreled kit and a new U.S. barrel and have hit a wall. We could send it out to have the components installed and the barrel headspaced (but we wouldn't learn how to do it ourselves.)

Youtube has been sketchy, and doesn't have my full confidence. Any suggestions? Do you know of any AK Team approved videos? Anyone interested in showing us? Of course we would compensate (beer, food, $ etc). We are in the Garden Grove area.

Ak Team approved videos... that's funny. No, we don't approve nor disapprove any video. Quite honestly, I don't even watch those videos myself. I'm sure there may be something out there, I just do not know.

So your kinda asking for a lesson on populating barrels? Did I read that right?

What exactly are you guys having trouble with?

It's not as hard as it seems. I was pretty nervous populating my barrel a couple weeks ago but it went smooth. It's all about measurement. Just make sure the parts are straight. My front sight is a tad canted but it shoots fine. Just had to push the sight over a little. I will eventually fix it. Use the right sized drills and the pins are simple to put in. I didn't find any good videos either, just asked questions and got answers.

Toten Kopf has a fantastic dvd for builds that covers about everything for 12 bucks. its well worth the money . you should pm him if your into D.I.Y.
