    lower rails

Ok got my flat bent and did the heat treat. now the rails need to go in. I have been reading different sites and see different instruction. one being that I need to grind the left rail so I can use 762x39, then another site say to do the right side. do I do both?

depends on cal. You must cut enough to insert mag and then file to center mag. Shoot, if FTFeed adjust in the correct direction.

so do you install the rails prior to filing? I was under the impression you fit then weld them on.

Lock them in place with small C-clamps, file to get close to a good mag fit, then weld and touch up with file/dremel.

Same here, I weld them in, file the ejector and mag stabilizers to fit, and heat treat.
