Stoeger 2000 carrier keeps blocking bolt

Hello, I have a Stoeger 2000 that I am trying to help a friend fix. The carrier pops up and blocks the bolt every time the bolt release is pressed. It gets stuck there. It is bugging me because I cannot figure it out. If anyone has any experience with the issue, I would really appreciate some advice.

Hello, I did check the carrier plunger and spring and rear of bolt where they engage. I cleaned and lubricated the inside of receiver and all the parts within. I ordered and tried to replace the carrier latch and its pin and springs. Did not help actually made it worse as bolt would not lock reward. I found that the newly ordered carrier latch and pin had a slightly larger diameter than original. The picture shows what happens every time the bolt is released, the carrier pops up and blocks it. This even occurs with a cartridge in the magazine. It's been very frustrating. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
