Anyone eliminate the Commifornia stupidity on their VP9 yet?

And by Commfornia stupidity I am referring to the LCI and magazine disconnect. I watched a few YouTube videos
on complete disassembly of the VP9. The LCI seems pretty simple, just replace the extractor. But replacing or modding the disassembly safety to get rid of the magazine disconnect looks a LOT more involved and the H&K pistols as far as the lower have a couple of little uncaptive springs that look easily launched/lost
My gunsmithing as far as replacing broken or tweaked things on the action, is okay, I built my AK and have assembed a dozen ARs, but watching the disassembly videos made me think it might be smarter to bring it to a real gunsmith, might be a little above my pay grade. Has anyone here swapped out the extractor and especially the disassembly safety on a VP9?

HK Parts is sold out and Midwest is too so another option is to remove the existing disassembly safety and just dremel off the J-hook but same issue with the gunsmithing skills required to disassemble and reassemble. I replaced a broken safety on my Makarov and installed a better firing pin and other parts in my CZ52 but my VP9 looks more complex than either of these.

Just wanted to hear if anyone else here has successfully done these mods?

I just got mine in from Gatewood Supply (https://www.gatewoodsupplyco.com/HK-...ty_p_3888.html). I'm going to give it shot this weekend.

I have fully disassembled and reassembled VP9's to put in aftermarket trigger parts.
I can do it if you need professional assistance.
