Need advice on Colt Socom M4 Severe Accuracy Issue

Recently purchased a brand new Colt Socom M4 upper and hired a gunsmith to convert it to the Block 2 configuration without the FSB. The parts I got for the conversion are as follows:
    Daniel Defense RIS 2 rail
Badger Ordinance Mk12 low profile gas block
    Surefire 4 Prong Flash Hider

After the upper wss completed I took it out to fire it for the 1st time. Optic that I'm running is a Vortex Razor, ammo is PMC Xtac 5.56 XM 193 and I have the target set up at 50 yards to stsrt my zeroing process and it punching essentially 6-7" groups. To make sure it wasn't ammo issues I took out my PWS Mk114 and I'm punching very tight groups of half an inch and less effortlessly. So knowing it wasn't ammo related I checked to make sure that the optic was holding zero and sure enough its perfectly level.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong and also could it be something that the gunsmith may have not correctly such as spacing or is this purely a bad barrel?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

To do accuracy testing, I would first take off the Flash Suppressor. This removes a variable, as bullets may be hitting the FS during firing.
Next thing is to try different ammo. Your barrel, for whatever reason, may just dislike the ammo you’re using.

I'm with this one, maybe even try a 62 grainer. The Colt barrel has a 1:7 twist?
Maybe the gunsmith took the barrel off for dimpling and it wasn't torqued properly?
Does the gas block contact the handguard?
      I'm out of guesses.

Have you tried shooting with irons to see if groups shrink?

The badger ordinance gas block is fatter on the bottom than most and can contact the inside of the handguard.
You should be able to move the barrel around 1/16" within the handguard without it striking the handguard.
If the gas block or barrel strike the handguard, accuracy will be atrocious.

Your gunsmith likely failed you by not noticing or notifying you of this during assembly.

Yes, I have read of this being an issue in the past. I made sure that my gunsmith looks at that as a possible issue. Thanks

Thanks for the replies. Right now my gunsmith has the rifle and will hopefully find whats causing the issue.

Once you get your rifle back from the gunsmith, please post what the confirmed problem and correction was. That kind of information helps all of us
