What to do with 'bad' AK FCG parts?

What do you do with the FA FCG components? Planning on buying complete US FCGs for 922r but what do I do with the 'naughty' bits? Trash? Can the possession be considered a violation even if the receiver doesn't have the verboten drilled hole?

    Thanks,

I gave each a whack with a sledge and then tossed 'em in the blue recycle bin.

      Cut, and toss out.
No need to even chance constructive possession, and I certainly do not have an 07FFL with SOT to build full auto guns so those parts are of no use to me, and never will be.
Why keep something you cannot use that may just get you in serious trouble?

Modify the hammer, disconnector, cut the rate reducer for use as a spacer and use those parts with the trigger for a pistol build.

I see people selling them on the various AK forums from time to time. Might be able to make a couple of bucks off them.

                  FUD alert!

Really? Show me where it's illegal to sell them because if that was the case then how would the OP or any of us acquired them in the first place? Gee I guess all those kits we bought were part of an illegal transaction... You better destroy your builds and bury all the evidence because the jack booted men are coming your way. Knock knock! Please don't post FUD.

To my knowledge the parts themselves are not illegal.
I also see full auto fire control groups for sale.
Now having them in your possession when you also have an AK receiver is a different story.
Having all the parts in your possession to build an illegal firearm can be tried as actually having that illegal gun (constructive possession).
Bad idea to have those parts if you own an AK or are building one.
Destroy the auto sear then have fun building.

It's not FUD buddy it's called covering your arse!!! There is no reason to keep them, There is no use for anyone else to buy them unless you are selling them to a class III dealer. (at least in this state) And the way this state operates it's firearms laws and enforcement I would not want to even test the grounds.

I know there have been some picks posted but the ones I saw, I still wasn't clear on. Can anyone post a picture of the "bad" parts. Sometimes they are hard to pick out of a collection of all the parts even with arrows.
I would assume there are different FA FCGs, is this the case or do they all pretty much look the same?

FUD is suggesting someone could get in trouble for selling something that is not illegal to sell. Owning/possessing the parts is not illegal unless there is intent. This hobby is getting expensive, I see no reason not try to recoup some $$ back by selling the parts you aren't going to keep.

I wouldn't throw away a 3rd burst set, they are worth ~80 bucks. But regular FA parts go right in the trash (unless I need a few to make pistol fcg's like sjgg24 said).

Your not going to jail for having or even selling FA parts. I use those parts all the time for pistol builds. Grind the tail off the discon, the hook on the hammer and your GTG. If anybody wants a Krink to be as authentic as possible then I build a pistol and everything is factory except the receiver. There is more needed than just having the parts to create a FA firearm. The receiver needs mods, and the parts need to be put in a certian way to make everything work. Now if you have a 3 hole receiver, that's a bust.
