I have this springfield 1911 that is barrel bushingless with a two piece guide rod. I hated taking it apart to clean so I installed a reverse plug one piece guide rod. However now the guide rod is shorter that the end of the slide. I would like to shorten the slide so it is even with the guide rod and shorten the barrel to almost the end of the slide. All nice and flush...
