If you cannot load a mag in your Ak you have a major issue . The funnel may work better with US type . I only assume it as I only use surplus AK Mags. I would not waste my $30 bucks on it. Like I said if you cannot load a AK Mag you have a issue.sigpicComment

I have 4 just like the one in the image. It has a projection to the right and is said to be "based on the famous Galil" in the fine print. It's a minor upgrade to the original spoon shaped/garden variety types.
There are a lot of neat mag catches, some that you can just extend your index finger to release the mag.
