Using high strength glue for shotgun front site install

The shotgun is a Mossberg 590 currently with bead front sight. Im planning to install a Mossberg brand ghost sight set. I've already installed one a while back for my Mossberg 500 by brazing. I want to skip the brazing this time and go with gluing. I've looked at JB Weld website. Found one or two products that have high tensile strength and high temp capability. I know I have to remove the finish on the area where the sight will be glued to down to bare metal for good adhesion. Anyone of my fellow Calgunners has done this before? What is the result? How did the glue fair out long term?

Loctite 380 or 410 are the ones for this job.
Make sure you have a nice big clean surface so you have lots of area for the adhesive to attach.
I believe that gun makers are using this same stuff to put on ribs and sights on some production shotgun barrels.

Loctite 380 would be my choice.

I'll check out both LOCTITE products. Not ruining the bluing is far better and less work removing. Thank you guys for the replies.
