    Duracoat weekend

The smaller parts I taped to a board so that they would hold steady as I sprayed them.

I left it alone over night and peeled the tape off the next day, then left it along for another night to harden more. The third day I put the rifle together and will be waiting an additional three weeks to make sure it is fully cured before I shoot it.

It looks nice, if the duracoat does not hold up try Cerakote works great on plastic parts as well. If you were in norcal I could help sand blast it for you.

Ya we will see, I may go ceracoat on my next build. I am reserving final judgment until next month when I can really test it after it cures. Ill up date the thread then...

Are you going to paint the rest of it in the future, or are you aiming for the black-and-tan look? (Be warned, Irish nationalists may attack you with your rifle's current paint job, hahaha.)

I plan to leave it black and tan, ironic because my heritage is predominately Irish. I did not even think about the history of that combination
