Can anyone help with a mauser project for me? New 270 barrel install? SF Bay Area

Got a nice turk that I'm looking to sporter (don't worry purist it's already been bubba'd by some other jerk) and wanted to put in a new barrel 270 winchester. Would like to take part in the project as I'll be hunting with it and want something that I put some work into it to pass down within the family.

So if you think you have some time and can help let me know. Prefer to be within my area.

8mm but may consider a caliber change possibly 308 for pig and deer

I have .308 reamers and a lathe. I'm not a pro but I've done mine. 8mm I can't help.

Make sure whom ever you get to help knows how to put a barrel on a mauser. They are not like a regular bolt rifle. The barrel seats on the C ring, not the receiver face.

Actually you could ship it as It's a C&R rifle.

I can do it for you. I am in Aptos. FFL licensed and insured. I am not set up to have observers/helpers, nor do it "while-you-wait".
Right now I can turn it in 2 weeks.
